I bought these in brown & the big buckle on the side was a selling point for me, but the buckle is more of a gold color rather than the silverish color you see on the photo. They aren't extraordinarily comfortable, like my all time favorite UGGs, but they're comfy enough to wear all day without discomfort. They fit true to size. My only complaint is that the sole isn't very tough because after one night out (granted, we walked about 30 blocks throughout the night), they're showing some wear.
